Pedal Box System Overview

Introducing an integrated pedal box that accommodates both acceleration and brake functions, featuring an extensive selection of 7 adjustable settings.

This design ensures a full range of motion for both the brake and accelerator pedals, enhancing the overall driving experience. Designed for fast and secure adjustments to accommodate various driver configurations in under 1 minute, the system is fastened using precision steel clevis pins and steel hairpin cotter pins, ensuring both reliability and ease of use.

U-Channel & Rail Design

Designed to accommodate various drivers, U-Channel is fastened to the rails with precision steel clevis pins and steel hairpin cotter pins, allowing easy and reliable adjustments in under 1 minute.

  • Twin parallel 1/8’’ steel rails: machined via waterjet with precision 0.2500 holes, and welded to chassis

  • Aluminium U-Channel: purchased to size and minimally post-machined to accommodate mounting holes and wiring spacing

  • Heel rest: mounted from the underside of the U-Channel via an intermediate plate to sit on the rails for security

Accel & Brake Pedal Assembly

Brake Pedal Details

  • Aluminum pedal body machined to 7.8 in x 0.625 in x 1.5 in

  • 2x Tilton 78 master cylinders for front and rear

  • Balance bar allows for brake bias adjustability using the cockpit remote

  • BOTS (Brake Over Travel Switch) tab is positioned at the pedal base and attached onto master cylinder mounts

  • Able to withstand 2000 N of braking force and provides equal braking pressure regardless of foot position

  • Positioned opposite to brake reservoir to allow full range of motion and space to run lining.

  • 90 percent of pedal motion is used for regenerative braking

Accel Pedal Details

  • Aluminum pedal body machined to 7.5’’ x 1’’ x 0.9’’

  • 2 angle sensors attached to pedal mount around 0.63’’ bore diameter

  • Accelerator pedal has a built-in hard stop around the spring to stop at 15° of travel

  • Everything is machined in-house with aluminium, including mount for pedal, sensor, and pivot rod
